Open Road is currently recruiting for two key positions while at the same time looking to strengthen and add to its board of trustees in line with the charity’s planned growth over the next decade.
The two jobs being advertised are for a full-time motor vehicle trainer and a full-time trainee business manager/fundraiser.
Trustee Terry Smith said: “We need a robust and motivational motor vehicle trainer who is qualified to Level 3 or above to teach IMI Awards Accredited qualifications to young people aged 14 and upwards.
“The successful candidate will get the chance to change young people’s lives while working in a fantastic training facility equipped to main dealer standard and while working on the latest models.”
The trainee Business manager/fundraiser is a new position being created to assist with the general running of the charity.
The successful candidate will bring administrative skills and an ambition to learn and progress in business management and fundraising while working alongside the charity’s business manager.
Open Road is also looking to attract new talent to its board of trustees and would welcome inquiries from educators, people involved in associated industries, those working in child care services.
Previous experience in charity administration and fundraising could be advantageous.
Terry said: “We have a small but dedicated team but new blood and new ideas are key to the charity’s continued development. Your ideas and enthusiasm may be able to help transform young people’s lives for the better here at Open Road.”
