We are writing to you at a difficult time and we hope that you are staying safe and well. As schools closed in March, we decided that we too must close for the safety of our students and staff. Our workshop and office are currently closed and our members of staff have been furloughed on the Government’s scheme.
We are pleased to say that our staff are well but are looking forward to when they can come back to work. In the meantime, during this temporary closure, the charity trustees are keeping an eye on things. We send our best wishes to you all. We will reopen the workshop just as soon as we can so that we are ready to take students onto our motor vehicle and our construction programmes when restrictions permit. We will be in touch again when we reopen and look forward to hearing from you.
You may have read a report in the newspaper last week that the Open Trust in Norwich is in the hands of administrators and the charity is being wound up. Our sympathies are with all concerned. We would like to make it clear that we have no links with Open Trust nor the work that it did and we are a completely separate charity.
With very best wishes
from all the staff and trustees
